What a photo some dear friends of mine, Janet and Neil Oldroyd Hume, took of their outdoor rhubarb and they have allowed me to post it on my blog….

It is official – ladybirds love rhubarb!

Taste Tingling Textures of Rhubarb!

Yes dear Wild Cooks, our pink beauty of stemmed heaven is back and is as crisp and exciting as ever….!

I love rhubarb, especially ‘forced rhubarb’  - out-of-season rhubarb grown indoors, a speciality of “the rhubarb triangle” south of Leeds in West Yorkshire.

This recipe is not for the amateur cook. It is a toughie, with various components, but wow – what a finish! It really shows rhubarb off at its best!

Rhubarb is back

FANTASTIC NEWS … Yorkshire rhubarb is back in season. The forced rhubarb is amazing stuff and a trip to the rhubarb triangle in Yorkshire had the wild cook in a spin.
